Boys golf: CdM blows past Mission Viejo, 409-424

MISSION VIEJO - The Corona del Mar High boys golf team used a

steady performance to grab a 409-424 nonleague victory over Mission

Viejo, after the squads concluded a two-part match at Mission Viejo

Country Club Tuesday.

CdM’s Alex Chikovani tied for medalist honors with Mission Viejo’s

Darren Blair, as both finished with 78. Chikovani shot 40 on par-36

Tuesday.

Sea Kings Nick Sherman (82), Tim Frohling (83), Robert Ury (83) and

Colby Hackett (85) also contributed in the win that improved CdM’s record

to 1-1.

CdM will also conclude a match with Aliso Niguel Thursday at Newport

Beach Country Club.
