Boys and girls swimming: Grigonis leads the Lightning

NEWPORT COAST - Allison Grigonis won three events, including a CIF

qualification time, and helped two relay teams to victory, leading the

Sage Hill High girls swim team to wins over Webb and Brentwood in a

three-way meet at Sage Hill Tuesday. Sage Hill defeated Webb, 44-43, and

Brentwood scored 11. The Lightning boys finished second in the meet.

Grigonis won the 200-yard individual medley (2:27), the 100 butterfly

(1:09.61) and earned CIF qualification in the 100 backstroke (1:05.1).

Hayden Hutchinson also finished first in the 100 breaststroke (1:20.29).

Grigonis and Hutchinson, along with Amy Catlin and Lauren Indvik won

the 200 medley relay (2:08.74), and Catlin, Hutchinson, Grigonis and Kira

Neal swam to victory in the 400 free relay (4:17.99).
