Prep softball: Estancia shuts down Sage Hill, 11-0

NEWPORT COAST - The Estancia High softball team made quick work of

nonleague host Sage Hill Tuesday, when the Eagles won, 11-0, in five

innings.

Estancia freshman pitcher Hillary Ockey, “had an all-around good

game,” Eagles Coach Marc Rodig said. In the circle, Ockey controlled the

Lightning (0-2), and on offense she went 3 for 4 with three RBIs.

Estancia (2-4) returns to action Thursday at 3:15 p.m., playing at

Oxford Academy.
