Prep softball: Tars win again, 9-5

GARDEN GROVE - The Newport Harbor High softball team won its sixth

straight game after a 9-5 nonleague victory over host Santiago Tuesday.

Freshman Julianne Bass led the way with two RBIs, while Shelby Crisp,

Kim Moore, Bailey Bearden and Elizabeth Pheifer had one RBI each.

The Sailors (6-0) return to action Thursday at 3:30 p.m., hosting

Alhambra.
