Pistons on all cylinders in 50-30 win

The South Huntington Beach Pistons bounced back from last weekend’s

semifinal loss in the National Junior Basketball boys’ Division II

postseason tournament to defeat Whittier, 50-30, in the tournament’s

third place game.

Scott Marcin led South Huntington Beach with 12 points, Austin Prather

finished with 10 and Matt Weaver had his best game of the season with

nine points.

Andrew Davis, Ricky Vasquez and Wesley Davis also got into the scoring

act for the Pistons, who finished a successful season with a 12-1 record.

The tournament was comprised of all of the undefeated boys’ Division

II teams throughout the county.
