“The Many Faces of Buddha” exhibit will be showing at the Fine Art

Gallery at Golden West College through April 12. The exhibit is free.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday

SATURDAY

The third annual Huntington Beach Restaurant Olympics will take place

from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 16 at Pier Plaza, Pacific Coast Highway and

Main Street. The free event includes a waiter/waitress relay, table

setting for time and perfection, clean water relay, longboard sand

surfing race and birthday song. With a $5 donation guests can taste and

rate 20 different chowders. Proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club

SUNDAY

The Academy of Performing Arts will present “Gypsy,” the classic story

of an aggressive stage mother. The production will take place at 7:30

p.m. March 15, 16, 22 and 23 and 2 p.m. March 17 and 24 at the Huntington

Beach Auditorium, 1905 Main St. Admission is $10 general and $8 students
