journalism awards, will lecture on her book, “Betrayal of Trust: the

Collapse of Global Public Health,” at 7 p.m. today, with dinner following

the lecture. She speaks at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Newport Beach Public

Library, 1000 Avocado Ave. Tickets are $55 Friday and $18 Saturday.

2. CRAZY FOR CRAFTS! Piecemakers’ Spring Country Craft Fair 2002 will

be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m Saturday and Sunday at Piecemakers. The

celebration will have 175 booths with handcrafted items for sale, live

3. JAZZ UP ST. PATRICK’S DAY with the Mark Massey Trio as the group

performs at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Center for Spiritual Discovery, 2850

Mesa Verde Drive East, Costa Mesa. Mark Massey is an acoustical jazz

pianist who regularly performs in Europe and Asia. He recently performed

at the Moscow Jazz Festival and The Tribute to Ellis Fitzgerald. $10.
