WEATHER FORECAST

The sun will shine in Newport-Mesa today, though highs will stay just

shy of 70. Overnight lows will be in the high 40s.

Wednesday will also be sunny, though highs will near the mid-70s. Lows

will be slightly warmer in the low 50s.

BOATING FORECAST

The northerly winds will blow 5 to 15 knots in the inner waters this

afternoon, with 2-foot waves and a west swell of 5 feet. Not much will

change later.

Out farther, the winds will blow 10 knots, with 1-foot waves and a

northwest swell of 5 to 8 feet. The same will be encountered later.

SURF

Most waves should be in the knee- to waist-high range today, though

the Orange County Health Care Agency continues its advisory today against

entering the water because of urban runoff from Sunday night’s storm.

Wednesday’s looking even smaller, though Thursday should pick up.
