Newport Harbor High’s high-rolling Sailors pulled out yet another

heart-stopper en route to their 11th victory in 14 starts Tuesday night,

getting off the floor in the third game to record a 13-15, 15-13, 15-12,

15-7 nonleague victory at Santa Margarita.

The Sailors were down, 11-2, in the third game before reserve Matt

Casserly stepped up with a key kill, two big serves and some sharp

defense to lift the Sailors back into contention.

Brian Gaeta led the way with 31 kills, and Greg Perrine (23 kills), Brett

Perrine (12 kills), Erik Peterson (12 kills) and Jamie Diefenbach (four

blocks and 16 kills) made it a compete look.

Setter Loyd Wright rounded out the attack.
