Costa Mesa Little League: White Sox win

Pitchers Shane Davis, Tom Werdel and Nick Dawson had solid

performances to lead the American White Sox to an 11-4 victory over the

National Dodgers in Costa Mesa Little League Minor B action.

Chris Le led the way on offense with two singles. Catchers Jack

Jefferies and Davis chipped in with two defensive stops from behind the

plate for the White Sox (3-0).

In other CMLL action:

* American Major Yankees 5, National Cardinals 1 - Pitcher Andrew

Niles pitched two innings, struck out one and allowed one run on one hit

for the Yankees (2-1). Andy Dawson took the mound for four innings,

giving up two hits, no runs and striking out six.

Skylar Twohig powered the Yankees’ offense with two RBI singles.

Justin Reyes, Benny Lounsbury and Dawson had RBI doubles.
