Boys golf: Eagles left standing over Mustangs

COSTA MESA - The Estancia High boys golf team used an all-around

team effort to gain a 194-208 Pacific Coast League victory over crosstown

rival Costa Mesa Wednesday at Costa Mesa Golf and Country Club’s Mesa

Linda course.

Estancia junior Jason Cassidy and Costa Mesa senior Bryce Sheridan

tied for medalist honors, finishing 1-over par-35.

Eagles Aaron Frankel and Joey Mueller both shot 38, while teammates

Peter Baker and Jason Les both came in with 41.

Costa Mesa’s Billy Lund (42), Devon Stephens (42) and Michael Gardiner

(44) also competed in the rivalry match.

The Eagles improved to 3-2, 1-2 in the PCL, while the Mustangs dropped

to 0-2 in league.
