College men’s and women’s golf: UCI golfers sweep Big West honors

Satarak have been selected as the men’s and women’s Big West Conference

Athletes of the Week in golf.

This is Lavery’s second Big West Athlete of the Week honor this

season. Lavery finished second in the Anteater Invitational that

concluded Tuesday at the SCPGA Champions Golf Club in Calimesa.

He shot 2-over 218 for 54 holes, including back-to-back rounds of par

72 over the final 36 holes. He was involved in a six-way playoff for

medalist honors, which went to Santa Clara’s Matt Klenz.

Satarak captured her second individual title of the season by winning

the Mountain View Collegiate tournament last weekend at the Mountain View

Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz. She shot a pair of even-par rounds of 72 to

win medalist honors by two shots.
