SERVICE TIMES: Worship celebration is at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The

Pastor’s Class Bible study for adults and Sunday school for children meet

before worship at 6 p.m.

MAKEUP OF CONGREGATION: The congregation is primarily families with

children who live in Orange County and Long Beach.

TYPE OF WORSHIP: Worship is a blend of hymns and contemporary

choruses.

TYPE OF SERMON: Miles: Sermons are verse-by-verse exposition of

Scripture that aim to foster the understanding of Scripture and its

application in daily life.

RECENT SERMON: A series based on the book of Philippians and a topical

series on the armor of God.

UPCOMING SERMON: Miles is currently preaching through a series on the

sufficiency of scripture.

DRESS: Casual, come as you are comfortable.

VISITOR INFORMATION/HOSPITALITY: Visitors are greeted informally. They

are given information when they request it.

CHURCH PROGRAMS: A weekly Reformed Catechism study for all ages; a

mother-daughter group; morning and evening women’s Bible studies; a men’s

fellowship; evening small groups for men; small groups for women; annual

retreats; a women’s prayer chain.

OUTREACH PROGRAMS: The congregation provides monthly support to

various mission endeavors. It supports missionaries in Cambodia and Kenya

and each year they make a mission trip to Mexico to build housing.

CHURCH BUILDING: The congregation is currently seeking facilities of

its own that would allow them to hold worship services on Sunday morning.

MISSION STATEMENT: “Standing for Truth; Pursuing Love”

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: “We exist to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ

in word and deed for the glory and enjoyment of God in every heart, home

and nation.”

The congregation has a three-fold commitment to truth: the truth of

Jesus Christ; the truth of the Gospel; the truth of the Scriptures. It

holds a three-fold commitment to love: the love of God; the love of

believers; the love of our neighbor. It holds a five-fold commitment to

action: ministry of the word; prayer; worship; fellowship; evangelism.
