Indians take early showdown from Yankees
The only Majors Division game scheduled for Ocean View Little League
prior to the Easter break was a big one, as the Indians and Yankees met
in an early showdown to determine the division’s leader.
It was the Indians who prevailed, 9-5, to take over sole possession of
first place.
Blake Cestr had two key hits to lead the Indians. Ryan Christie also
had a hit and delivered two RBI, Steven Murray had a hit and an RBI and
Brian Cassidy, Charlie Condon and Jordan Peasley each had hits.
Cassidy and James Miller pitched a strong game for the victors.
The win gave the Indians a 3-0 record, while the Yankees fell into a
tie for second place with the Astros at 2-1.
