Cards whip Fountain Valley, 8-1

Bryan Visnoski tossed a three hitter last weekend to leadHuntington

Valley to an easy 9-1 victory over Fountain Valley in a battle between

the Cardinals in local Little League Juniors Division play.

Visnoski was backed by a strong defense and was relieved after six

innings of work by closer Maricio Onofre.

The Huntington Valley Cardinals had eight hits in the game led by

David Soscia’s double and single, two singles by Mike Lucas and doubles

by Visnoski, Matt Pipes and Marcelino Romero.

Kasey Cohen drew three walks in three at bats.

For the Fountain Valley Cardinals, Erik Rhoten, Matt Fink, Alex Mareno

and Travis Koehler shared pitching duties.

For the 2002 Little League season, players from Seaview and Huntington

Valley little leagues have combined to form one Juniors Division team.
