Changes for Center’s dance season

The Orange County Performing Arts Center recently announced two

changes for its 2002 International Classic Dance Season.

The Bolshoi Ballet was originally planning to perform repertory

highlights on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, in addition to productions of “La

Bayadere” on Nov. 26, Nov. 27 and Nov. 29. The schedule has now changed

to run “La Bayadere” all five days, without a repertory highlights

program.

The second change involves the American Ballet Theatre’s production of

“The Nutcracker” in December. The Dec. 17 performance of the show will

now happen on Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m., which means the opening night has

been pushed to Dec. 18. The complete schedule is now 8 p.m. Dec. 18, Dec.

19 and Dec. 20; 2 and 8 p.m. Dec. 21; 2 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22.
