Boys tennis: CdM overpowers Mesa, 17-1
CORONA DEL MAR - Corona del Mar High senior Tyson Hunter dropped
just three games in winning his three sets to headline an easy Sea King
victory, 17-1, over Pacific Coast League visitor Costa Mesa Tuesday.
Hunter swept to win two sets and then battled a gritty Spencer Solomon
to pull out a 6-3 win. Solomon defeated Erik Frisbie to earn the
Mustangs’ lone win. Corona’s doubles teams did not lose a set.
The Sea Kings (15-1, 3-1 in the PCL) return to league action, Thursday
at 3:15 p.m., playing at Northwood.
