Prep softball: Sea Kings take over Trojans, 12-6

CORONA DEL MAR - The Corona del Mar High softball team remained

undefeated in the Pacific Coast League with a 12-6 win over visiting

University Tuesday.

CdM junior Lauren Loe, who injured her leg during soccer season, but

has been back for four games, contributed two hits and scored once, while

junior Alissa Zoelle crushed an RBI triple and scored twice.

Junior Amy Tyson, who usually plays catcher, earned her second

straight PCL pitching win, as CdM improved to 6-6, 3-0 in league. Uni

dropped to 1-2 in league.

The Sea Kings return to PCL action Thursday at 3:30 p.m., hosting

Newport-Mesa District rival Costa Mesa.
