WEATHER FORECAST
Skies will be partly cloudy today, with highs near the mid-60s in
Newport-Mesa. Overnight lows will be in the low 50s. A similar day will
grace us Saturday, but Sunday’s looking a lot clearer and a little
warmer.

BOATING FORECAST
Westerly winds will blow 10 to 15 knots in the inner waters this
afternoon, with 2-foot waves and a west swell of 4 to 6 feet. Winds will
ease tonight.
Out farther, a small-craft advisory is expected to go into effect as
northwesterly winds blow 20 to 30 knots, with 3- to 5-foot waves and a
northwest swell of 9 to 11 feet. Later, winds will decrease to 15 to 25
knots, and waves will ease 2 to 4 feet while the swell backs down to 8 to
10 feet.
SURF
A northwest swell today will bring us into the waist-high range, with
the occasional chest-high, though conditions will improve more Saturday
as a few shoulder-high sets may roll in. Expect similar waves Sunday,
with the swell backing down come Monday.
