Meeting on parking rates and fines set
Bryce Alderton
A public meeting to discuss possible changes to parking rates and
fines and the future installation of a sidewalk will take place at 6 p.m.
Thursday in the conference room at City Hall.
The City Council has asked the Parking, Traffic & Circulation
Committee for a recommendation on increasing the hourly parking meter
rate from $1 to $1.50, increasing the two-hour parking meters to
three-hour meters, increasing parking fines and bail from $30 to $36,
asking the banks to eliminate the service fee charged to merchants for
quarters and adding additional change machines.
The committee will also discuss the future installation of a sidewalk
on North Coast Highway between Viejo Street and Ledroit Street.
Merchants and residents are encouraged to attend.
