College track and field: Hall and Magana lead Lions

AZUSA - Vanguard University sophomore Sarah Hall and junior Tony

Magana have qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Nationals after completing

personal-best times in the 10,000-meter race at the Golden State Athletic

Conference Track and Field Championships Friday at Azusa Pacific.

Both runners finished second in their respective races and improved

their personal bests by about 40 seconds. Hall finished in 38:23, and

Magana came in at 31:27.

Lion sophomore Debby Baeder finished third in the long jump finals

(16-feet-8 1/2), while freshman Justin Vagle came in fifth in the men’s

at 22-1 3/4.

The rest of the GSAC Finals took place Saturday.
