Three promoted on the force
With family, City Council members and colleagues in attendance, three
members of the Huntington Beach Police Department were promoted.
Lt. Chuck Thomas was promoted to the rank of Captain. An officer since
October 1984, Thomas will be assigned as the Administrative Division
Commander.
Sgt. Terry Lindsey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He has been
with the department since August 1985.
Officer Mitch O’Brien who has been with the department since February
1988 was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. He and Lt. Lindsey will be
assigned to the Patrol Bureau.
Police Chief Ron Lowenberg thanked the three officers for having given
so much to the department. They all earned their promotions, he said.
