Prep softball: Tars scoreless to Laguna Hills

NEWPORT BEACH - The Newport Harbor High softball team held Sea View

League visitor Laguna Hills scoreless through four innings, but then gave

up a four-run fifth and lost, 4-0, Thursday.

Newport juniors Shelby Crisp and Athena Vasquez chipped a base-hit

each, as Laguna Hills pitcher Brittany Fait completed a two-hitter.

The Sailors dropped to 14-8, 1-6 in the Sea View.
