Boys tennis: CdM seeded No. 1

The Corona del Mar High boys tennis team begins defense of its CIF

Southern Section Division V title Tuesday as the No. 1 seed.

Coach Tim Mang’s Sea Kings (20-2), the Pacific Coast League

runners-up, will host Academy League runner-up Sage Hill in the first

round.

Barring a supreme upset, the Sea Kings would then meet the St.

Margaret’s-Beaumont winner in the second round May 16.

Brentwood, which CdM defeated, 14-4, in last year’s Division V title

match, is the No. 4 seed.

Harvard-Westlake is seeded No. 2 and San Marino No. 3.

The semifinals are scheduled May 23 and the finals May 29.
