The Public Relations Society of America has named PainePR of Costa

Mesa a finalist for the 2002 Silver Anvil Awards competition for two

campaigns. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony scheduled

for June 6 in New York City.

“Considering the high quality of programs entered into this

competition every year, as well as the meticulous standards used to

select winners, we are extremely honored to have our programs chosen as

top finalists in these categories,” said David Paine, president and chief

executive of PainePR.One of the campaigns selected as a finalist was

established for Proctor & Gamble for Ivory Soap. In that campaign, the

firm developed a program to support the introduction of Ivory’s new retro

packaging and celebrate its 120 years of national advertising.

The other campaign was created for the XM Satellite Radio national

launch, in which the firm publicized and introduced the first satellite

radio service for consumers.

“These campaigns both demonstrated the unsurpassed level of creativity

that our firm is known for and produced impressive results for the

clients for which they were executed,” Paine said.

PainePR was established in 1986 and has maintained its top ranking for

mid-size agencies nationwide.
