Scuffle injures 2 in Newport Beach
A struggle that left two victims at a Newport Beach halfway house also
left police without answers Wednesday evening, police said.
About 5:40 p.m., three men entered a halfway house in the 4900 block
of Neptune Avenue, Lt. Mike Jackson said. One of the three men allegedly
fought two other men who were already in the house, injuring both, he
said.
One of the victims suffered “marks on his body,” but refused medical
treatment and was “uncooperative,” Jackson said. The second victim also
refused treatment and provided limited information, he said.
The assailant and his two companions fled the scene of the scuffle
before police arrived, Jackson said.
