Miller, Dodgers top Pirates

Mark Miller gave up only two hits Saturday and the Dodgers added

another notch in the win column as they defeated the Pirates, 6-3, in

Seaview Little League Majors Division action.

Miller had a perfect game going through three innings and went on to

only give up a pair of bunt singles, and the Dodgers beat the Pirates for

the second straight time.

The Dodger offense was led by Nick Duchene who went three for three

with a double, and Kenny Miller who went two for three.

Brandon Visnoski scored twice for The Blue.

Pirate pitcher Anthony Paterno also threw a solid game with nine

strikeouts.

Matt Striet and Matt Bubblitz each had bunt singles for the Pirates.

Yankees 5, Dodgers 4

The Yankees played an error-free game and scored three runs in the

first inning on a bases loaded error and never looked back.

The Yanks recorded five hits and five walks and won the game on Ryan

Moran’s game-winning double.

Brian Kobylka and Kevin Doran shared pitching duties and fanned nine

Dodgers.

The Dodgers were led on offense by Matt Fockler who went three for

three, which included a double off the wall, and Mark Miller also rattled

the fence in going one for two.

Pitchers Jordan Luevano and Kurt Heyer matched their Pirates

counterparts by striking out nine.
