High School Boys Tennis: Ball back in big way
SAN CLEMENTE - If Corona del Mar senior Cameron Ball blanks his
singles’ opponents, Coach Tim Mang and the rest of Ball’s teammates call
it “CBall-0.”
“(Ball) came through with a ‘CBall-0’ today,” Mang said, after the Sea
Kings defeated host St. Margaret’s, 16-2, in the second round of the CIF
Southern Section Division V Tennis Championships.
Ball swept through his three singles matches not losing a game. All
three CdM doubles teams swept their matches. The No. 1-seeded Sea Kings
will travel again on Tuesday, at Crossroads in Santa Monica.
Mang hopes to have freshman Wesley Miller back in time for Tuesday’s
match.
Miller injured his wrist in practice this week and sat out Thursday’s
match, Mang said.
