American Legion tops Fire Fighters, twice

In a game that was protested earlier this year and resumed for play

for the final two innings, American Legion officially recorded a 17-3 win

in Majors Division play.

Christian Kesler powered a grand slam home run into the outfield trees

at Riddle Field to lead American Legion’s powerful hitting attack.

They scored nine runs in the second inning to go up, 9-0, as Jordan

Zraick, Noah Barker, Andrew Paddon each had RBI singles, Will Burk

singled twice during the frame and picked up an RBI in the process, Kyle

Snyder singled and Michael Porter ripped a two-RBI double.

Zraick also doubled and Barker and Paddon each finished with two hits.

Julian Deline threw three scoreless innings to start the game.

Michael Lewis, Danny Selevan and Austin Derry had hits for the Fire

Fighters.

Immediately following the protest game victory, American Legion posted

a double-digit win over their rivals.

Michael Porter doubled in a four for four performance that included an

RBI, Andrew Paddon hit a two-RBI double and singled twice, Jordan O’Brien

singled three times, Max Parmentier executed two bunt singles, Christian

Kessler, Noah Barker, Will Burk and Julian Deline all singled and Deline

struck out 12 in a complete game victory.

Tommy Hopper scored the lone Fire Fighters’ run.
