Roof may be quite a haul

The sky’s the limit, a Wave Street resident said after finding his

roof damaged last Friday.

John Hoover put out his trash cans that morning before leaving home.

When he returned home at about 5 p.m., the trash had been picked up by

Waste Management of Orange County, the city hauler, but his rain gutter

and fascia were down on the ground and the roof on his home was ajar.

Hoover reported the damage to the police department Monday.

“Waste Management is checking out the possibility that damage was done

accidentally by the arm of the recycling truck,” Hoover said. “This is

the hard way to get a sky light.”
