St. Joachim church hosts spring fair

The increasing temperatures and constant Southern California sun

provide the perfect backdrop for this weekend’s 10th annual St. Joachim

Community Spring Fair.

The Costa Mesa event at 1964 Orange Ave. will showcase various bands,

great food, booths, games and prizes. The annual fund-raiser supports the

parish’s school educational programs, maintenance for the classrooms,

buildings and grounds, and tuition assistance.

This year, headlining musical performers include the James Harman Band

Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Los Romanticos and El Mariachi Zacatecas --

featuring Beatriz Adriana -- at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively.

The weekend-long event will run from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. today and 11
