Newport Harbor Baseball Association: It’s a brave’s world

NEWPORT BEACH - All facets of the game seemed to come to the Braves

as they handily defeated the Dodgers, 13-1, in a Bronco Division matchup

of the Newport Harbor Baseball Association.

The visiting Braves posted six runs in the first two innings behind

hitting from Niko Hernandez, Justin Jones and Spencer Smith, who all

drove in runs. Josh Ocampo also scored for the Braves.

Hernandez and Smith performed well on the mound, giving up two hits

while facing three batters over the minimum in six inningswhile combining

for seven strikeouts. The Brave infield of Ned Lyon, Darren Legget and

Arturo Vasquez turned in an error-free game stopping potential Dodger

scoring chances.
