Diamondbacks down A’s, 5-3
The Diamondbacks received a strong pitching effort from two hurlers
and rode those performances to a 5-2 Majors Division victory over the A’s
at Ocean View Little League.
Matt Ayer and Ryan Schulenburg shared duties and shut down the A’s
offensive attack.
Ayster also provided the D-backs with one of their most important hits
of the day, a two-run double.

Indians 7, Mariners 5
James Miller delivered the game-winning hit, a two-out double with the
bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning, which lifted the Indians
past the Mariners.
Ryan Christie, Steven Murray and Ryan Vandenburg also had key hits for
the Indians.
Garrett Shinn and Brian Cassidy combined for the win.
MINOR A DIVISION
The A’s, Rockies and Giants remained tied for first place with a 13-3
records. The A’s upended the Rangers, 4-2, the Rockies beat the Angels,
19-6, and the Giants were an 18-5 winner over the Dodgers.

Cardinals 23, Angels 2
Austin Barlow belted his seven home run of the season as the Cardinals
(14-2) remained alone in first place.
Diamondbacks 9, Dodgers 7
The victory kept the second place D-backs one game behind the
Cardinals in the division standings.
