SCHOOL: Newport Heights Elementary School

STORY LINE: This is an old-fashioned melodrama in which good and evil

are clearly defined. Mother Goose characters and favorite toys come to

life in this magical tale of springtime in Mother Goose County in the

early 1800s. All are astir over the rivalry between the handsome young

Alan and his mean-hearted Uncle Barnaby for the love of Mistress Mary

Quite Contrary. In this musical comedy, the action and suspense continue

up to the exciting climax. “Babes in Toyland” is based on a book by R.

Eugene Jackson, with music by Victor Herbert, and is adapted and arranged

by Carl Alette. It is being produced by special arrangement by Samuel

French.
