March 1, 2001 -- Newport Beach police arrest Mike Dokovic and Miroslav

Maric on suspicion of using fake credit cards to buy clothes.

May 17, 2001 -- Ramadan Dokovic meets Miroslav Maric at a Taco Bell

parking lot on East 17th Street.

May 18, 2001 -- Dokovic is accused of shooting Maric in the parking

lot of the Jack in the Box restaurant at the corner of 17th Street and

Tustin Avenue. Dokovic is charged with attempted murder.

May 21, 2001 -- Maric is taken off life support and pronounced dead.

Dokovic faces a murder charge with an enhancement for possessing a

weapon.

July 16, 2001 -- Ramadan Dokovic pleads not guilty to the murder

charge.

Nov. 15, 2001 -- Federal Secret Service agents file arrest warrants

for Mike Dokovic and his associate, Amo Dokovic, on charges of credit

card fraud.

May 21, 2002 -- Trial begins for Ramadan Dokovic.
