OCEAN VIEW SCHOOL DISTRICT WRAP-UP

WHAT HAPPENED:

The school board approved a contract for improvements to four district

gyms and auditoriums.

WHAT IT MEANS:

The board agreed to pay Bert Construction Services for $292,300 in

work. The company will add benches, lockers, stage drapes and toilet

partitions to gyms and auditoriums that are currently being built at

Marine View, Mesa View, Spring View and Vista View middle schools.

Vote: 5-0

WHAT HAPPENED:

The school board approved a contract with an architectural firm to

design a modernization plan for three schools.

WHAT IT MEANS:

The board hired Westberg and White Inc. for $328,000 to develop plans

to modernize Village View and Westmont elementary schools and Marine View

Middle School.
