Newport company earns customer service award
The first-ever Customer Satisfaction Award from Builder Magazine was
given to Newport Beach-based John Laing Homes for its empirical
assessments, reputation within the marketplace and commitments to
improving customer service.
“John Laing Homes has built a whole operating philosophy around
putting the customer first,” said Boyce Thompson, the magazine’s editor
in chief, in a statement. “More than once, Larry Webb [the company’s
chief executive] has pulled me aside to tell me how customer service in
the home building industry needs to be improved.”
Builder, an award-winning official magazine of the National Assn. of
Home Builders, also chose the home-building company for its innovative
Customer Care Program. The company established the program to maintain a
constant communication in a manner determined by the National Survey
Systems.
“To be chosen for an award that so closely mirrors our own longtime
philosophy and vision for John Laing Homes is an absolute thrill and a
reflection of the passion and dedication of our employees across all of
our departments,” Webb said.
The company was also named Builder of the Decade by the National
Survey Systems for overall home-buyer satisfaction during the 1990s.
