Indians hold off A’s, 6-5

Brian Cassidy had a big day at the plate and Garrett Shinn had enough

firepower on the mound to lead the Indians to a 6-5 victory over the A’s

in Majors Division action at Ocean View Little League.

Cassidy was perfect in a three for three performance with five RBI.

Shinn went the distance on the mound.

Cole Tisher hit a home run and got the win as the Mariners upended the

first place Astros.

Yankees 4, Diamondbacks 2

Daniel Williams, Mickey Moses and Brian Roberts combined pitching to

lead the Yankees past the Diamondbacks.

Padres 10, A’s 9

The Padres’ victory knocked the A’s out of a share of first place.

Rockies 3, Giants 2

The Rockies’ win, coupled with the Padres’ win over the A’s, gave them

sole possession of the division lead.

The big win over the Reds gave the Cardinals a two-game lead over

their division rivals with two games left in the regular season.
