Flames down Timberwolves, 6-3

Jeffrey Adams scored a game-high three goals Thursday to lead the

Flames past the Timberwolves, 6-3, in a Wales Division contest.

The Flames’ Billy Davis opened the game’s scoring and finished with

two goals. Curtis Salerno closed out the scoring with a third period

goal.

Jake Marsey and Tyler Olsen picked up assists.

Tyler Post recorded 17 saves.

The Timberwolves scoring was spread among Aaron Fulmer, Jonathan

Shramek and Tip Donaldson.

Adam O’Connor had 15 saves.

In other games:

Avalanche 5, Avengers 4

David Marabella and Derek Rosas each scored two goals and had one

assist to lift the Avalanche past the Avengers.

Martin DeJong completed the scoring with one goal, and Josh Roseberry

added an assist.

Justin Del Campo had 13 saves.

The Avengers were led by Greg Weaver’s two goals and assist. Tom Moore

and Bryan Van Arsdale also scored, Chris Nicholls had an assist, and

Brandon Rodriguez stopped 16 shot attempts.

Lightning 3, Cutco 1

The Lightning scored in each of the first three periods, getting two

goals from Wesley Keizer and one from Nick Iacovetti.

Iacovetti also had an assist, as did Spencer Layman.

Garrett Ono came up with 13 saves.

Cutco avoided the shutout as Matthew Airhart scored off a Kevin

Hetrick feed in the final period.

Sam Robinson recorded 19 saves for Cutco.
