COSTA MESA
Fairview Road: A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of passing
off a noncontrolled substance as drugs to make some money in the 2300
block at 1:06 a.m. Thursday.
Newport Boulevard: A 60-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of
trespassing and assault in the 1500 block at 6:39 p.m. Wednesday.
Harbor Boulevard: A robbery was reported in the 3200 block at 1:25
a.m. Wednesday.
Cadillac Avenue: A commercial burglary was reported in the 3500 block
at 1:54 a.m. Wednesday.
Harbor Boulevard: Vandalism was reported in the 2800 block at 10:49
a.m. Wednesday.
Fairview Road: An assault was reported in the 2600 block at 12:42 p.m.
Wednesday.
Wallace Avenue: An auto theft was reported in the 1900 blockat 1:17
p.m. Wednesday.
Mesa Verde Drive East: An auto theft was reported in the 2700 block at
2:36 p.m. Wednesday.
Victoria Street: A residential burglary was reported in the 700 block
at 10:38 p.m. Wednesday.
NEWPORT BEACH
West Ocean Front and 23rd Street: A hit-and-run involving a parked
vehicle was reported at 3:28 p.m. Thursday.
River Avenue: A hit-and-run involving a parked vehicle was reported in
the 4900 block at 1:40 p.m. Thursday.
Jamboree Road: Vandalism was reported in the 3500 block at 1:35 p.m.
Thursday.
Baruna Court: Loud music causing a disturbance was reported in the 100
block at 11:14 p.m. Thursday.
Irvine Avenue/16th Street: Shots were reportedly fired at 10:19 a.m.
Thursday, though police were unable to locate such a disturbance.
West Balboa Boulevard/19th Street: A traffic collision with no
injuries was reported at 9:59 a.m. Thursday.
Santa Barbara Drive: An assault with a deadly weapon was reported in
the 800 block at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
