WEATHER FORECAST
After the morning June gloom, we’ll get some more beautiful sunshine,
with highs in the mid-70s in Costa Mesa and the upper 60s in Newport
Beach. Overnight lows will be about 60.
We should see much the same through Saturday, with an additional
warming trend beginning Sunday.

BOATING FORECAST
Fog will be encountered early. The westerly winds will blow 10 to 15
knots, with 2-foot waves and a mixed west and south swell of 2 to 4 feet.
Winds will ease up overnight.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will blow a bit stronger at 10 to
20 knots, with 1- to 3-foot waves and a mixed northwest and southwest
swell of 3 to 5 feet. The same will be found tonight, though fog will
return.
SURF
It’s eventually going to be a great day for catching waves today.
After the negative morning tide, it should be a great time to catch some
chest- to shoulder-high waves, with the occasional head-high. We should
see much of the same through late Monday.
