SeaCliff teams strong at Juniors tourney

The SeaCliff Country Club sent a boys’ under-12 Division and girls’

under-14 Division team to last weekend’s Southern California Juniors

State Championships, and both teams put on a strong showing at Los

Angeles Tennis Center on the UCLA campus.

The SeaCliff girls’ team came away with their division’s top prize, as

they won the championship.

SeaCliff beat San Fernando Valley in the division final, 4-0.

The under-14 girls’ team is comprised of Jennifer Huemann, Nina Vogel,

Kinsey Wood, Monica Stupacyzk and Kelly Wong.

SeaCliff’s boys’ under-12 team earned a fourth-place finish in their

division. They won both their matches last Saturday and advanced to

Sunday’s semifinals, where they lost to Ventura County.

The under-12 boys’ team consists of Vincent Bui, Madison Hayden, Roy

Nielson, Trevor Denhert, Andrew Kurzweil and Michael Wilgus.
