Halos use five-run inning to top Dodgers

The Angels used a five-run fourth inning Saturday to propel them to a

9-6 victory over the Dodgers in Seaview Little League Majors Division

play.

Chris Czernachoski led the Halos on offense with a

three-for-fourperformance, and Brian Griffin doubled and singled.

Other key hits came from Dean Wall, Aaron Birk, Kyle Boswell, Frankie

Harmier, Cody Boswell, Ryan Miller and Wesley Graves.

Czernachoski teamed with Kyle and Cody Boswell on the mound to strike

out nine.

The Dodgers’ offensive highlights were provided by Brandon Visnoski,

Mark Miller, Billy Judd and Kyle Martin.

Kurt Heyer, Visnoski and Dylan Evans all saw pitching action.

Dodgers 2, Reds 1

The Dodgers, who used six pitchers in the game, pulled out the win

when Brandon Visnoski scored in the top of the sixth inning.

Visnoski’s head’s up, delayed steal came when Kyle Martin got caught

in a rundown between first and second base.

The Reds’ Craig Spreeman went the distance pitching and also scored

his team’s only run.

Nolan Marcucci led the Reds’ hitting attack with a double and single.

Derek Bauermeister nearly ignited a two-out rally in the final inning,

but his potential hit was squelched by an over-the-head catch by

Visnoski.

The Dodgers got two hits from Billy Judd, a double from Martin, and

singles by Kurt Heyer, Matt Fockler, Mark Miller and Nate Barrett.

The six Dodgers used in the pitching rotation were Kenny Miller,

Barrett, Nick Duchene, Martin, Fockler and Mark Miller.
