1. SUGAR PLUM FUN: Offering more than just arts and crafts, the Sugar

Plum Arts and Crafts Festival will also include the sale of antiques and

collectibles. The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and

Saturday in Building 10 at the Orange County Fairgrounds. No strollers.

2. SKATE JAM: Surfside Sports will hold a Skate Jam to show its

support for skateboarding from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, during which a

number of shoe companies will sell several hundred pairs of new shoes for

$40 and less. Skateboarding pros will also be there from 10 a.m. to 3

p.m. for skate demonstrations. The store is at 112 23rd St., Newport

3. CAR SHOW: The 21st annual Concours de Nice car show will be held

from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Park Mall at South Coast Plaza in

front of the Westin Hotel. The show will display cars of different

classes. A raffle will benefit Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation. The

participant fee is $30, unless preregistered for $25. Free for the
