Auditions for ‘The Wizard of Oz’

The Newport Beach Theater Co. will hold auditions for “The Wizard of

Oz” from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Lincoln Elementary School,

3101 Pacific View Drive, Corona del Mar. The show will be staged Aug. 23

through Sept. 8.

Call backs will be made June 21.

Pick a seat, any seat at The Center

The Orange County Performing Arts Center will present its Broadway

Series Seat Sale from noon to 3 p.m. July 13.

Center patrons will get to walk through Segerstrom Hall and choose the

seats they’d like for their Bank of America Broadway Series season

tickets.

Shows include “The Full Monty,” “Contact,” “Aida,” “Les Miserables,”

“Cats,” “42nd Street,” “Seussical The Musical” and “Mamma Mia!”

The Center is at 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa.

Shaggy, is that you?

Attention Newport-Mesa Dairy Queen fans:

The franchise has announced a “Scooby-Doo” contest for the best Shaggy

Look-alike. Two grand prizes and 10 first prizes will be given. The top

two winners will get a frozen cake designed in “Scooby-Doo” fashion at a

private screening of the movie, where they can invite 20 friends.

The first-prize winners will get the “Scooby-Doo” movie soundtrack.
