District offers low-flow toilets
The Laguna Beach County Water District is offering free Western
Pottery water efficient toilets to residents from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on
June 15 at the water district yard, 306 3rd St.
The new toilets must replace toilets that are 3.5-gallons per flush or
more (1992 models or earlier). Residents must bring a water bill and
drivers license, and toilets must be installed within three weeks at the
residence listed on the water bill.
Throughout the year residents can participate in a ultra low-flow
toilet rebate program. They can get a $50 rebate on selected models of
low-flow toilets. $100 rebates are available to residents who purchase a
qualified high efficiency washing machine by Dec. 31, 2002.
