FOUNTAIN VALLEY - The Costa Mesa American Little League Minor B

Indians wasted no time, scoring four runs in the first inning, never

looking back as they defeated the Westminster Yankees setting up today’s

quarterfinal matchup against Fountain Valley today at 9 a.m. at Mile

Square Park.

The Indians added three runs in the second, two in the third and

scored the remaining five runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Tommy Stephens pitched all six innings, getting out of a bases-loaded

no-out jam with the help of solid defense from catcher Michael Quiros,

first baseman J.T. McLuckey, second baseman Trace Curet, shortstop James

Lewis and third baseman Aaron White.

Martin Myszynski, C.J. Arehart, Nick Bernstein and Kody Bakos provided

key hits for the Indians. Lila Blackney scored a run after walking, and

Zachary Lehman played strong defense.
