WEATHER FORECAST

Partly cloudy skies will start the day, but it should get better.

By noon, the temperature should have climbed into the mid-70s, hotter

some places and probably cooler by the beach.

The evening also should be nice, with the warm weather sticking

around, keeping us at the top of the 60s until the sun sets.

BOATING FORECAST

A fairly typical day for boaters, with light winds on inner waters and

some strong gusts northwest of San Nicolas Island.

In close, winds will top out about 15 knots in the afternoon, with

small waves and a west swell at just 3 feet.

Farther out, the winds will be up to 25 knots from the northwest, with

a combined sea of 6 to 9 feet throughout the day. Areas of fog are

possible both early and late.

SURF

Weak swell that won’t survive the midmorning high tide. If you just

gotta go, toss the potato chip aside and grab a longboard or at least a

fish.
