New leadership program for Vanguard University

“Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership,” a new graduate program

in business, will be introduced in the spring semester at Vanguard

University in Costa Mesa.

The university concluded from a study that effective leaders must

learn from a variety of disciplines.

The curriculum will feature a multidisciplinary approach to the study

of leadership in a variety of organizational settings, including profit,

nonprofit, religious, and both the public and private sectors.

The innovative program will be led by Mission Viejo resident Andrew

Stenhouse, the dean of Vanguard’s School for Professional Studies, who

holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Vanguard University and

an education doctorate degree in institutional management from Pepperdine

University.

“Dr. Stenhouse was the ideal choice to lead this new program, said

Roger Heuser, dean of the graduate school, in a statement. “His

leadership, vision and gifts will be valuable in making this a strong

academic program that will meet the needs of new graduate students in our

community.”
