Stars in Las Vegas

Eight talented performers from the Beach City Stars dance studio of

Huntington Beach captured first place in the Small Jazz Division at the

national championships held in Las Vegas.

The team, whose members range in age from 8 to 11 and have been performing together since 2001, is made up of Brittany Moya, Christina

Zeltner, Katherine Zeltner, Madeline McKinley, Liza Chesbro, Angela Kim,

Asia Desmito and Nicole Hendrick.

The jazz squad also won its state competition in April.

Madeline McKinley also danced in the fifth grade solo competition at

both the state and national finals, placing third and fourth,

respectively.
